Join us on Kaurna Yarta, on the AGSA forecourt, for this year’s Tarnanthi Festival Launch featuring a live performance by First Nations hip-hop supergroup 3%.
Featuring Angus Field, Corey Webster aka Nooky and Dallas Woods, 3% references the percentage of Australia’s population that are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. The ARIA Award-winning collective are known for their powerful live performances that are steeped in the culture and stories of First Nations people, while pushing the boundaries of hip hop, pop and storytelling.
The festivities begin at 6pm with a Kaurna Welcome to Country, a keynote address by Professor Megan Davis AC, the Whitlam Fraser Chair at Harvard University and constitutional law expert, followed by a free performance by 3%. Then, head in to see this year's major exhibition Too Deadly: Ten Years of Tarnanthi, assembling more than 200 landmark works of art in AGSA's collection.
