SATURDAY – 4 DANCE WORKSHOPS
Venue: La Bomba Dance Studio, Casa Cultural, 44 Woodville Rd, Woodville (corner Church St, behind Uniting Church)
Duration: 1.5 hrs per class
Cost: $30 presold / $35 on the day
1) Salsa Suelta + Styling (Men’s + Ladies’) – 11:00am
Instructors: Mariesly, Dayan, Piter
Flow, footwork, styling, and Afro-Cuban energy. (Non-partnered)
2)
Afro-Cuban Body Movement – Oshun & Oggun – 12:30pm
Instructors: Mariesly, Piter
Learn movements inspired by Orishas, exploring rhythm, history, and expression. (Non-partnered)
3)
Rumba + Partner Work – 2:00pm
Instructors: Mariesly, Dayan
Explore Guaguancó, styling, flirtation, and rhythm. Ladies bring a flowy skirt/scarf; men bring a bandana.
4)
Sharpen Your Rueda Skills – 3:30pm
Instructors: Mariesly, Dayan
Intermediate/Advanced (prior Rueda required). Fresh calls, combinations, and Cuban flair.

As the founder of the Latinsalseando Salsa Project in both Havana and the Gold Coast, Mariesly continues to share and express Cuban culture with passion and creativity across borders.

Dayan Sanchez Marsilli (Havana, Cuba)
Highly skilled in authentic Cuban and popular dances, Dayan moves effortlessly through Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Rumba, Cubatón, Timba, Cha Cha Cha, and Yoruba styles.
Renowned for his dynamic teaching and deep cultural knowledge, he has inspired dancers worldwide, instructing across Havana, India, Malaysia, and now Australia. His recent highlights include:

Piter Pantoja López (Cuba / Australia)
A highly respected Cuban dance teacher and performer, Piter specialises in Afro-Cuban, Salsa, Rumba, Son, and Rueda de Casino, bringing both tradition and vibrant energy to every workshop and performance.
With years of experience teaching and performing across Cuba, Finland, and around Australia, he has previously toured internationally with some of Cuba’s most renowned stage productions.
Known for his precision, passion, and infectious Cuban spirit, Piter energises dancers everywhere he goes.
