Special Guest announcement for July Edition:
We're thrilled to welcome acclaimed indie folk artist "Graeme James" as a special guest at the next Taranaki Songwriting Circle! Known for his mesmerizing loop pedal performances and multi-instrumental wizardry, Graeme has racked up over 50 million streams on Spotify and toured the world with his heartfelt songs. He’ll be sharing insights into his unique songwriting process and inspiring us with stories from his musical journey. Don’t miss this chance to learn from one of Aotearoa’s finest songwriters!
Step into the melody-rich heart of Taranaki with the exclusive "Taranaki Songwriting Circle," a sanctuary for the soulful and the creative!
Tailored for songwriters by songwriters, this event is a golden opportunity for local talents to unveil their compositions, immerse in the art of songcraft, and receive invaluable, constructive feedback from a community of like-minded artists.
But it's more than a forum for critique; it's a vibrant rendezvous to connect, share experiences, and weave together the diverse threads of Taranaki's musical heritage.
Whether you're polishing your first verse or penning your next hit, the Taranaki Songwriting Circle is your gateway to deepening your connection with the local music scene, learning from its rhythms, and contributing to its chorus.
Join us to not only fine-tune your melodies but to become part of a supportive network dedicated to nurturing and celebrating the art of songwriting in the heart of Taranaki. Your journey towards musical camaraderie and creative growth starts here!
You can either perform your song on the night or bring a recording of it to the session.
A piano and an acoustic guitar is available on the night or you can just bring your own instrument.
