From across the Netherlands and representing seven nationalities, the Tarab Choir brings together musicians and artists passionate about reviving forgotten and misunderstood musical gems from the first half of the 20th century.
Inspired by the concept of “Tarab”, a state of musical ecstasy and emotional connection, the choir presents a joyful and diverse program featuring songs from Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Egypt, as well as compositions by Ziad Rahbani, under the direction of the renowned Maestro Majed Sarai Edin.
Ticket holders are cordially invited to the Closing Ceremony of the Rotterdam Arab Film Festival at 19:30 hrs (doors open at 19:00 hrs). During this evening, the jury presents awards to outstanding films and filmmakers, recognizing the stories and talent that shaped this year’s festival. The Closing Ceremony will be held in English and Arabic.
