The Tar River Community Band will perform a free Christmas concert at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 401 East 4th St., on Thursday, December 4th at 6:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
The Tar River Community Band started making music in 1987. In the years since its creation, the band has welcomed musicians from all walks of life. Its musicians include members of the region's business, teaching, and medical communities along with college students and retirees. From its inception the band has served as an outlet for musicians who are looking for a way to share their talents with the community.
