Wellington kayakers have been a long time part of the annual south coast clean up. We help out by giving Taputeranga Island a clean up and we bring any rubbish we find back to shore in bags where it's collected as part of the wider beach clean up.
Come along and hopefully we'll have a lovely sunny day. The water can be cold so bring enough clothing to stay comfortable should you get a bit wet. We'll have some rubbish bags and gloves. Expect it to take a couple of hours - we'll want to bring the bags back to shore before 11am to get them picked up.
