TAPE is the first film shown by the DV8 Film Club, a new film club in Glasgow showcasing the best of miniDV and Digital Video.About this Event
DV8 is a new film club dedicated to exploring the weird and wonderful world of films made on Digital Video. These films are characterised by a "lo-fi" aesthetic that is flat, noisy, and imperfect - far from the "cinematic" look that we are accustomed to today. The purpose of this film club is to find new ways of looking at this format, usually attributed to home footage from the 1990s or turn-of-the-century skate videos, and to assess its relevancy as an alternative and viable method of making films.
