TANTS-HOYZ: YIDDISH DANCE

✨Join us at the culminating event of CUKE's Klezathon for TANTS-HOYZ: YIDDISH DANCE, a Yiddish folk dance, including a one-hour workshop before the dance

📍Sunday, April 26, 2-5 PM at Library Place Community Room.

2-3 PM Dance Workshop:

Yiddish dance leader Deborah Strauss will teach a Yiddish folk dance workshop, backed by Pete Rushevsky, Jeff Warschauer, and members of CUKE .

3-5 PM Dancing:

Take your newly-learned dance steps into party mode as Pete, Jeff, and CUKE play a lively set of klezmer and Yiddish dance tunes (some fast, some slow), with Deborah Strauss dance leading. 

Can't make the workshop before the dance? No problem! Everyone is welcome to join in the dancing! 

Yiddish dance is a form of social folk dance that is easy to pick up. No experience necessary & fun for all ages! 

You may bring handkerchiefs if you prefer to dance without direct contact. You can learn seated versions of the dances if that is more accessible for you.
