Tanka Deathmatch Poetry Tournament

A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 32 poets will get on stage to compete in one-on-one poetry rounds using a form of poetry called a Tanka. Each round is best two-out-of-three with the first to win two advancing to the next round.

All tankas will be vetted by judges to ensure they follow the correct parameters of a tanka: A five line poem with each line having 5,7,5,7, and 7 syllables, respectively.
