Valencia Batiuk is an Argentine tango dancer and teacher with over 30 years of experience. Trained in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and tango, she began her professional career in the early 1990s. She worked with companies such as those of Brenda Angiel and Miguel Robles, participated in works by leading figures in dance and tango, as well as in Carlos Saura’s film Tango, and was a member of Tangokinesis, Ana María Stekelman’s company, touring extensively across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.Since the mid-1990s, she has developed a strong pedagogical career, teaching classes and seminars in Buenos Aires and on international tours throughout Europe. She is co-founder of El Motivo Tango, a key reference for the teaching, research, and transmission of social tango, and creator of Bondi, a collective practice that combines study, exchange, and training.
She has also served as a juror in the Metropolitan and World Tango Championships, consolidating her place as a leading figure in the contemporary tango scene.
