Welcome to Tango Magic, we are pleased to annouce our launch event in October 2024. Hosted by Ian Gray and 3 workshops run by the incredible Marek Szotkowski who will teaching social Argentine tango the way it is danced at milongas in Buenos Aires and throughout the world. He will start with an introductory session and then go into the next stage of tango. He will also be around during the milongas on Friday night saturday afternnoon through till the evening to dance.
The venue is very spacious and give us licence to provide you with the perfect ambience to enjoy the music and dance at your leisure.
We will also be providing light refreshments throughtout the event but feel free to bring your own choice of drinks and snacks to keep you going. There is a pub next door, the Waterloo Inn, which will be open to during the day and evening as we will not be providing a bar.
There is free on site parking and very easy access to the venue from the M4 and A48 in Newport, south Wales.
The event will kick off on Friday evening at 7pm with the second Marek workshop followed by a Milonga till midnight and the Dj's Marek and Alice will provide the music which will be majority traditional and some alternative style.
Saturday will be a full day and evening so ladies remember the flat shoes......
We will start at 12pm midday with the second workshop for an hour and slip seamlessly into and afternoon milonga and again the music will be provided by Marek, Alice and introducing Paul for the first time. The afternoon will end by 5pm to give you a chance to refreshen up or sleep ready for our evening ball!
The Saturday evening will again start with Marek's 3rd workshop from 7pm for an hour then the milonga will start from 8pm throught till midnight and once again the music will be provided by Marek Alice and Paul.
