**Tango Fantasia — Volcadas & Colgadas Adapted for Social Tango**
**7pm - 8.30pm**
Hi guys! We’ll have an amazing couple of professional dancers from France visiting us right after the Columbia Marathon. They’ll be teaching at the Marathon and then want to spend a couple of days in Charleston.
We’re lucky enough that they’ll be joining us for our Tuesday Milonga and giving us a lesson! It will be donation-based, as usual.
Lola Garnier and Javier Juarez met in Buenos Aires in 2018. Juarez began his career as a dancer in 1977 and subsequently worked in contemporary dance, dance-theater, and tango starting in 1990; his teachers included Mauro Barreras, Diego Riemer, Aurora Lubitz, Sebastian Arce, and Hugo Mastrolorenzo, among others. Lola Garnier started out in ballroom dancing, Salsa, Kizomba, and Bachata before beginning tango with Julio Luque and later with the Padovanis. Lola and Javier perform a tango filled with emotion and imagination, while remaining true to the Argentine roots of the tango embrace. They currently reside in France and run the "Cielo de Tango" school.
Please, contact Evgenia Barto directly if you like to schedule a private lesson with them.
