We are pleased to offer you the Rare opportunity to investigate Tangmere Military Museum, Situated on a former WW2 Front line fighter base with aircraft used for the Battle of Britan.Opening in 1917 as a training base with a mixed use and mothballed between wars, Opening again in the 1930s as a fighter base seeing plenty of action throughout the War, Heavily attacked in 1940 by Junkers Dive bombers However the base remained active despite the loss of life of several ground staff. The base was also used for Special covert operations operating the Lysander aircraft, Famous air commander Douglas Bader and CW Mills where stationed at Tangmere during the War, Nearby is the site of a heavy bomber crash.
Post war two world air speed records were set with aircraft flying from Tangmere One of which is on display.
Recent paranormal Activity experienced around the Museum and in the Museum, A group of travellers set up camp outside the museum on the nearby service road and left hastily the following morning, after being questioned why they fled they maintained that during the night they heard the sound of bombers/fighters starting up and flying low overhead?
Staff have several accounts of white lights the size of a marble floating around the museum most notably a year ago a member of staff observed this phenomenon and approached it getting about 7 foot away for the light to disappeared, With no apparent reason for the light being there in first place.
An apparition has been observed by several people out of their peripheral sight which disappears when people look directly towards it others have seen a shadow figure. Could this be the same person? Is the Light related to this.
Multiple members of staff have seen a figure walk towards an entrance , expecting the person to open the door they are ready to greet the person only to find no one is present, with nowhere to go who is this person?
Help us unravel the mysteries of the museum at night? can we find out the cause of the light Phenomenon, Will we see the shadow figure? Will the person seen walking around the building come forward.
What to expect on the night: You will be teamed up into small teams with our experienced lead investigators, Given use of our equipment and areas to investigate throughout the night.
Time permitting you will have some free time to reinvestigate area’s of your choosing .
Free light refreshments will be provided by the Museum on the night but also the Cockpit Cafe will be open again with their amazing toasties and fancy coffees. (Will share the menu closer to the date).
