Tampa Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing

The Comprehensive Plan guides the future of housing in the City, what amounts and types of housing are allowed in different areas.
YIMBY Tampa and Transit Now Tampa Bay have shown up during the process to ensure strong housing allowances alongside incentives to support affordable housing, transit, and additional community benefits in the Future Land Use section of the plan.
After delays for edits to comply with new State law, a public adoption hearing on the plan will be held October 22 at 5 pm in Old City Hall.
The main message you can send at these meetings: Keep all the Transit Ready Corridors recently added back into the plan to support more homes near transit and roads ready for future transit – many neighborhoods spoke up to get these housing allowances back into the proposed plan after they were initially removed, but we've heard some individuals may still show up to get them removed again, so let’s back them up to make sure the changes get adopted.
