About Tampa City Ballet
Founded in 2018 by Artistic Director Paula Nuñez, Tampa City Ballet was created to fill a critical gap in Tampa Bay's arts community by establishing a professional contemporary ballet company that could provide meaningful opportunities for dancers while creating bold, original work for our region.
Today, Tampa City Ballet is recognized for producing interdisciplinary performances that blend contemporary ballet with live music, film, theater, opera, and immersive storytelling. Through innovative productions, free community festivals, educational outreach, and collaborations with artists across disciplines, the company is making dance more accessible while celebrating the stories that connect our community.
