The 8th annual Tampa Bay Tap Festival is taking place June 16th-22nd, 2026! Teaching Faculty includes Derick Grant, Anthony Morigerato, Aaron Tolson, Christina Carminucci, Leah Silva, Ashlyn Bolton, Jack Scarlett, Bella Boye, and Jennifer Mehlig.
Dancers from all over the map, who've just got to tap, will gather in the heart of Downtown Tampa to celebrate tap dance.
We are excited to extend this opportunity to dancers as an additional training source. Let's "brush" up those skills to kick off summer training!
Taking place at the Barrymore Hotel. There are 20+ open classes, performance opportunities, and many memories to be made! Participants have the chance to win a free pair of custom So Danca tap shoes, as well as scholarship opportunities.
Festival Class Track invites dancers to attend classes with our amazing Faculty! Levels offered include Mini Bootcamp, Intermediate, Advanced, and Adult/Advanced Beginner. These classes take place in the day time June 20th and 21st.
The Performance Track invites dancers ages 10+ to perform in the Festival's show, "COPASETIC." Performance Track dancers will learn a piece of choreography from one of our Faculty members the evening of June 19th to perform the following day. Rehearsal, Classes, and a Performance is included in this Track.
Mini Bootcamp invites dancers ages 6-10 for a two day, 6-classes event that wraps up with a showcase for the dancer's families.
Our Professional Development Program invites dancers to an audition only weeklong Mentorship program. PDP includes 3 performance opportunities, including one at Walt Disney World! PDP dancers will spend their time learning choreography, taking class, exploring improvisation, immersing themselves in all things tap while having one-on-one Mentorship with Derick Grant and Aaron Tolson. The Festival is hosting a Student Showcase and a Tap Jam Wrap Party with a live band! These events are free to attend, with additional charges in Student Showcase participation.
"COPASETIC" concert takes place on June 20th, in Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center. Our ALL STAR Faculty, Festival Students, and Community of tap dancers will unite in rhythm for this inspiring show! Tickets on sale at strazcenter.org
If your studio has a tap dance group ready to perform, we invite you to perform in "COPASETIC" at the Straz Center on June 20th! Tap groups will receive a discount on their Festival registration.
We also offer a teacher discount! Teachers can attend free when bringing 3 or more students to the event.
