About the ClinicianTammy “Tamzen” Johnson brings a lifetime of experience at the advanced level. As a young rider, Tammy began her riding career with Richard & Julie Ulrich and grew up in the company of and rode with many leaders in the field: Captain William Hyer, George Morris; Neal Shapiro, William Steinkraus and many others.
Tammy has done it all, from English and Western pleasure and equitation, to dressage, hunters, jumpers and judging! Her past experience also includes being an assistant veterinarian and a TB racetrack Trainer in Saratoga Springs. She has the ability to apply her knowledge to improve any rider’s relationship whether it be on the flat or over fences and challenge you to reach your goals. Tammy’s personable and approachable personality is for everyone!
Clinic Format:
This clinic is designed as a full-day educational and fun experience. Ship-ins welcome and there is plenty of parking. Participants are encouraged to observe other lessons and auditors are welcome (free of charge)! We have an indoor and outdoor arena available depending on weather.
Lessons will be offered in small groups and be divided up depending on rider’s goals and horse suitability.
Morning will be dedicated to flat lessons and the afternoon to jumping.
Session Descriptions:
Flatwork
• Suitable for all riders, with or without a competition focus.
• Exercises tailored to improve your connection and adjustability with your horse.
Jumping:
• Progressive gymnastic and pole exercises to build technique and confidence.
• Focus on adjustability between fences and rhythm.
• We will start with basic jumping at a low height and move up from there to accommodate your comfort level.
Registration & Fees:
Flat Session: $75 per Rider
Jumping Session: $75 per Rider
Join Both Sessions for $100 per Rider
