Calling all musicians!
If you play the fiddle, another stringed instrument, or are part of a band that plays stringed instruments, now's your time to shine. ⭐🎸🪕⭐
On May 25, 2024, the first day of this year's Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival, there will be fiddle competitions for juniors and seniors, a picking competition if you play a stringed instrument that’s not the fiddle, and an acoustic band competition featuring stringed instruments. Cash prizes and trophies for the top 3 places in each category! 💰🏆
Individuals will play 3 tunes, including a Hoedown, a Waltz, and a Tune of Choice. Bands will play 2 tunes of choice. Contestant(s) will be judged on pitch, tone, rhythm, and presentation (showmanship, interpretation, flair, creativity, charisma, adherence to the rules, etc.).
