About Tall Tall Trees:
Tall Tall Trees is the musical project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike Savino, a pioneer of experimental DIY banjo music. Armed with his customized electric banjo, the Banjotron 6500, and an inventive array of effects pedals and live looping, Savino creates a distinctive blend of psychedelic folk, rock, and world music.
Since releasing his self-titled debut in 2009, Tall Tall Trees has developed an innovative approach to the banjo, performing both solo and alongside longtime collaborator Kishi Bashi. His work also includes collaborations with JD Pinkus of Butthole Surfers and Josiah Wolf of WHY?, with his fifth album, Stick to the Mystical I, released on Joyful Noise Recordings.
About Jaik Willis:
Jaik Willis is a one-man-band performer who brings an entire ensemble's worth of sound to the stage without looping or electronics. Playing an 11-piece drum set with his feet while simultaneously handling guitar, bass, harmonica, vocals, and beatboxing, Willis delivers a distinctive live performance built on remarkable coordination and musical versatility.
His extensive touring history includes appearances at Bonnaroo, Summer Camp Music Festival, Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Festivals, and numerous other events across the country. He has also shared bills with artists including Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Wilco, Béla Fleck, and Leftover Salmon.
