Tall Paul & Kristie's live shows have become something of legend across the southeast.

With roots in Cleveland, OH, Virginia Beach, VA & Boone, NC, Tall Paul found himself in Nashville, TN, a city which is known for Country music but actually is a really good home base for musicians of any stripe, particularly American roots music like Jazz, Blues, Rock and country’s cousin, Bluegrass. Kristie’s roots are in Nashville itself, so it’s no surprise that she’d be at home making music which is as eclectic as the city itself.

The duo’s live shows have become something of legend across the southeast. They’ve shared stages of various sizes and are equally at home in honky tonks and bars as they are on festival stages. But for as great as their touring live show has been, the roots of Whiskey & Wine happened when the pandemic shut 2020 down and forced Tall Paul & Kristie to reinvent themselves with weekly Facebook live shows. Shows which have grown their fan base as they showcased their talents worldwide.

With new markets opened up, thanks to their new family of fans nation and worldwide, Tall Paul & Kristie worked with a diverse group of A-list studio players to help them make Whiskey & Wine. The duo’s musical versatility and virtuosity allows them to raise the roof in one song, like they do with Whiskey & Wine’s opening track “And I Burn” while being honest on the 100% true to life “It’s A Choice.” Finally, Tall Paul & Kristie’s ability to tear everything down with an emotionally impactful song, such as “Wonder Woman,” joins with the other songs and showcases not only their talent as performing musicians, but as songwriters too.
