Talk: What We Wish Professionals Understood About Autism -Advance Practice

We are developing the Multiprofessional All Age Autism, MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice here at Sheffield Hallam University. The opinions and views of autistic people, their support networks and professionals are extremely important in shaping this new initiative. We invite you to learn more about the course and gather feedback. We would like to hear the views and experiences of autistic people and their support networks, along with the perspectives and expectations of professionals.

Anita is a registered learning disability nurse and social worker. As a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, Anita loves teaching and doing research focusing on neurodiversity and transdisciplinary approaches. Anita has developed a novel solution focused approach, 6D practice, which she continues to evolve and apply to everyday living. She is currently exploring the transformative dynamics of JOY.
