Join us on the 25th September 13.00 at Atalante for an exclusive talk with Catherine Lamb (US) and members from Harmonic Space Orchestra (DE)! Under moderation of Rosali Grankull they will share about their working methodologies and learning/developing "Triangulations" - a new work by Lamb, commissioned for Göteborg Art Sounds Festival 2026. The piece will have its world premiere at Atalante 26 September.
The talk is followed by a network fika 14.00 at Atalante. Slow down and spend time with artists, organisers, audiences and others gathered around GAS Festival. We offer a space for informal conversation, exchange, network and connection.
ABOUT LAMB & HSO
Catherine Lamb is a composer and co-initiator of Harmonic Space Orchestra - an ensemble of Berlin-based musicians specialising in the research and performance of microtonal music, particularly its relationship to acoustics and rational intonation/just intonation. HSO is today considered the most accomplished ensemble in the world dedicated to this kind of harmony.
ABOUT TRIANGULATIONS
"Triangulations" is a deep exploration into areas where three points converge and form a shape. Points will be extracted from conceptual, theoretical, socio-political, ethical, poetical, fantastical, physical, and material elements alike. The commission is made possible by support from the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and initiative neue musik berlin e.V. through co-commission with Harmonic Space Orchestra, with additional support from Goethe-Instititut and Goethe Institut-Schweden
