Ayman is an autistic activist and freelance journalist, a Ukrainian refugee.

Some refugees are autistic. As a person who left their homeland in 2014, and has been a refugee in 3 different countries, helping other autistic refugees, I know it better than many others.

But what does it mean to be an autistic refugee in the Uk? Was the system really inclusive for us? What could be done better? Why do so many people don’t understand the refugee experience?
