Every November, the nation observes National Family Caregivers Month.
At Love, Peace & Spades, we’re closing out 2026 the way we always do—by bringing people together for real conversation intersected with real play.
Talk + Play: Dealing With Care is our final Talk + Play program of 2026, presented in partnership with .
Hosted by , creator of Mom of My Mom and co-founder of The Care Den—the afternoon’s panel will feature —dementia care advocate, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and founder of In Case I Forget, LLC, alongside representatives from AARP.
We’re sitting down for an engaging and honest conversation about caregiving in our community—who’s doing it, what it costs us, what resources exist, and why this is one of the most important conversations our families aren’t having.
We’ll talk about the next wave of caregivers, offer insight and resources for those who are currently caregiving in their homes, and make space for the kind of truth-telling that only happens when people feel safe enough to say it.
Then, we play.
Spades Academy™ will be in session all afternoon—whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up your first hand—with open play, music, and food + beverages running until 6:00 PM.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do… is show up for each other in Spades.
