Talk and Workshop with Chloe Begg on 'Connections'

Join Chloe Begg for a talk and workshop exploring the 'Connections' exhibit, featured in the DesignTO Festival at Youngplace. Participants will learn about the sculptures on display and engage in a collaborative art-making experience.
The talk portion of the evening will dive into the relevant themes of the exhibit and include informal discussions. The second part of the evening will involve a hands-on workshop using recycled materials. Participants will receive prompts and direction on creating work that expresses personal identity and reflection through form and imagery. All materials are provided.
Prior experience in art is not necessary, folks with backgrounds in all disciplines are encouraged to join.
The number of participants is limited and registration is required. This is a free workshop with support from ArtHubs, Youngplace, and the DesignTO Festival.

6-6:30: TALK: Participants will be guided through the "Connnections" exhibit to learn more about the sculptures. Relevant themes of the exhibit will be discussed, as well as the ideas behind the sculptures and their construction.

6:30-8: WORKSHOP: the workshop portion of the event will be focused on personal expression through art and form. Discussions will address bringing personality into creative works, and the hands-on portion of the evening will involve using recycled materials to make 2 or 3D pieces.
