Birmingham Workshop: Agents in Practice: From Use Case to Agent Design
About this Event

AI agents are now a hot topic — but in HR and resourcing disciplines, few leaders can clearly articulate what they’d trust an agent with, where they add real value, or how to manage the risks. This workshop will help you cut through the hype and move from uncertainty to confident, defensible decisions about AI agents in HR, TA and workforce management.

Join senior HR, TA and people leaders for this in-person, interactive workshop where we’ll explore real-world use cases, practical frameworks and governance essentials. Through facilitated exercises, group work and expert guidance, you’ll learn how to assess, design and apply agentic AI — safely and strategically — in your organisation.

Key Themes We’ll Explore:

  • What an AI Agent Really Is & Isn’t
Understand core definitions, capabilities and limitations — so you can separate hype from business value.
  • Identifying Useful Agent Opportunities
Spot where agents genuinely add value versus where they are just “automation in disguise.”
  • Breaking HR Work into Safe, Supportive Tasks
Learn how to analyse real HR work and decide which components are suitable for agent support.
  • Designing Your First Agent Concept
You’ll work on a clear, defensible agent concept tied to a real business problem in your organisation.
  • Risk, Governance & Infrastructure Essentials
What data ownership, governance and operational foundations must be in place before you build or adopt anything.

Participants are encouraged to bring a real use case from their organisation to work on during the session.

Why Attend?

  • Practical, Not Theoretical — Leave with frameworks and decision criteria you can apply immediately.
  • Peer Insight — Share experiences with a curated group of HR and workforce leaders facing similar challenges.
  • Interactive Learning — This is a workshop, not a lecture — you’ll actively work through scenarios and design tasks.
  • Small Group, Maximum Participation — Places are strictly limited to 15 participants to ensure quality interaction.

Please note that this workshop is exclusively designed for Talent leaders only including HR Directors, Heads of Talent Acquisition, Workforce Strategy leads, People Ops leaders and Transformation leads who want to lead AI agent discussions with confidence, not confusion. If you do not match these requirements, we will not be able to secure your place.
