Join us at OPEN Southall Arts Centre for an immersive exhibition exploring the written and oral history of dissent in the British Indian Diaspora.
Hear directly from the women of Independent India who share their personal stories of protest. Transport yourself to Delhi for the 101-day protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Dance and chant to songs integral to women’s dissent in the diaspora. Step into a history of protest dissent and change.
As you experience these important histories we hope you will be inspired to continue their legacy take up space in your communities and question the injustices you see. You will be encouraged to contribute your thoughts and ideas to the exhibition and start conversations with those around you.

On Saturday 23rd at 4 PM, Megan Drabble and Kareena Rippingale will be leading an inspiring conversation, with a group of South Asian women who have taken up space themselves. It is bound to be an incredible afternoon! The full list of panellists will be announced soon!
