And while we celebrated, we are also keenly aware that her initial path to victory and ability to remain in her seat have not been easy. Like fellow Hindu Americans in seeking elected office, Jenifer has faced unjustified anti-Indian and anti-Hindu attacks from the far right and left. Both sides have stooped low in their attacks against Hindu American leaders. Yet, we have taken the high road.
