Technology is woven into every part of our lives - from messaging and dating apps to social media, gaming, and smart devices.

But these tools can also be used to intimidate, monitor, threaten, or control people.

This is tech-enabled abuse - and it’s a crime.

Join Merseyside Police and the Police & Crime Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, for the launch of the next phase of theTaking Action campaign to tackle violence against women and girls and to raise awareness of, and challenge, harmful behaviour.

We’re inviting students from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), University of Liverpool, and Hope University to be part of this important conversation.

Opened by the Police and Crime Commissioner, this event will feature an expert presentation from Merseyside Police’s cyber team to raise awareness of this growing issue and what’s being done to tackle it.

An expert panel session will also give you the chance to ask questions, find out more about the law, and get practical digital safety advice.
