Taken As Red with Anushka Asthana

We’re so excited to announce that Anushka Asthana will be joining Selwyn PolSoc on Thursday 14th November to discuss her career and new book Taken As Red: How Labour Won Big and the Tories Crashed the Party.

Anushka Asthana is a British journalist and television presenter. She has been joint political editor of The Guardian, presenter on the The Guardian’s daily podcast Today in Focus and is the current Deputy Political editor of ITV news and co-presenter of the ITV’s politics discussion programme Peston.

As well as hearing about her fascinating life and career so far, we look forward to being taken behind the scenes of the 2024 UK General Election Campaign, and hearing about the inner workings of Keir Starmer's Labour and Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives, and the events of this high-stakes electoral contest as it unfolded.
