Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Vouvray, Sancerre, Bourgueil—these are just a few of the gems we’ll explore in this two-hour introduction to the wonderfully diverse world of Loire Valley wines.
We’re thrilled to welcome Cabell from one of our favorite distributors, Potomac Selections, to lead her debut class at Vino Culture! Cabell brings extensive knowledge of some of the Loire’s most exciting boutique producers, and she’s ready to share the stories (and the wines!) that make this region so special.
The Loire Valley spans nearly a third of France, winding through a patchwork of microclimates and soil types thanks to its many river tributaries. So no, we can’t cover everything—but we can offer you a deliciously nerdy crash course and a launchpad into future deep-dives.
We’ll taste 6 wines total—red, white, rosé, and sparkling—and explore how this region truly has something for every palate.
