Dean Wilson, who describes himself as Withernsea's second best poet, brings poems and stories from his daily beach walks. His ‘Pebble of the Day’ series featured on Look North and BBC Radio Humberside and is an internet sensation. When not beachcombing, Dean travels mainly by bus, visiting various Yorkshire towns and villages and seeking out bargains in charity shops.
His fabulously anarchic poems have appeared in a documentary, East Coast Fever, a record and in three publications: Take Me Up The Lighthouse (2020), WITH (2018) and Sometimes I'm So Happy I'm Not Safe On The Streets (2016). He is currently writing his first novel, ‘Don't F**k With Me, I've Got Friends In The Brontë Society’. He even appears on a tote bag, a send up of the famous Skegness fisherman, on the East Yorkshire version Dean skips down the beach beneath the title ‘Withernsea is SO Poetic’.
