After surviving life-threatening heart disease and receiving a heart transplant, Sherron was given a second chance at life. Today, she shares her remarkable journey to encourage women to become proactive advocates for their own health. Through her personal story of resilience, faith, and recovery, attendees will gain valuable insight into recognizing risks, prioritizing heart health, and taking steps toward a healthier future.

Speaker Bio
Sherron Simmons is a retired Senior Benefit Analyst after a thirty-six-year career in the health insurance industry.
After being given a second chance at life, healed through a Heart transplant, she accepts every opportunity to share her personal story and her experience in hopes of making a difference by educating women on the importance of taking charge of their heart health. She is grateful to WomenHeart and the American Heart Association for giving her that voice.
Sherron is the author of “Through the Storms and Out,” in her book she recounts her emotional journey to healing, to help readers discover how to keep their eyes on God and not the storms of life.
She currently resides in Shelby County with her husband of 50 years. She is the mother of two adult children, Paul and Crystal. She is also the proud grandmother of 13-year-old Ava Evangeline and 9-year-old Ashlyn Paige.
