TAKE A KID MOUNTAIN BIKING DAY 2026: Colonel Francis Beatty Park, Saturday, October 3rd from 10am - 2pm
Trips for Kids Charlotte's mission is to transform lives, communities and landscapes through cycling. We are excited to offer this family-friendly ride event in celebration of the nationally recognized, “Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day”!
Join us on Saturday, October 3rd at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (4330 Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28105) from 10 am to 2 pm for Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMBD)....a FREE community celebration featuring guided mountain bike trail rides, bike games + skills clinics, food, music, raffles, and MORE!
Guided MTB rides are open to youth ages 9-16 (parents, you can join, too!) and will take place at 10:30 am and 1 pm. Bike games + crafts will be available for all ages to participate in, making this a fun filled event for the whole family.
Helmets and bikes can be provided - we'll need to know the age and height of each rider ahead of time to make sure we can provide the correct size! Be sure to select the right ticket when you register.
