We are excited to welcome our friends at the Danville/Boyle County Humane Society back to the shop on Tuesday, December 10th for another special "Tails and Tales" event.Your young reader can sign up to read their favorite book to one of our visiting shelter pets!
Here's how it works: Volunteers from the Humane Society will be at the store from 4pm to 5pm with their animal friends. When you register, you will be assigned a 15-minute reading time slot. There is no cost to participate but you MUST reserve your spot via the link below:

We cannot guarantee exactly what type of animal will come for the day. It depends on who is 'in residence' at the humane society. Dogs and cats are the most likely, so if your child has a fear of dogs, this is not the event for them.
You are encouraged to bring a favorite book from home. (We've discovered that choosing at the store can eat into your reading time...)
