Master Roger teaches defensive tai chi, a dancing martial art he has learned from a Japanese master. The style is a family style, traceable back to Chen Wangting. It is taught Japanese style, without katas, and is trained by reaction. As it uses the opponent’s energy, balance, and stance against them, learning
does not require strength or speed. It is suitable for all adults of all abilities.
This class is for adults 18+ and will require a waiver to be signed to participate. Donations are appreciated but not required. Please bring a water bottle - refills are available. Advance sign up is not necessary - feel free to stop by and observe a class!
