Hello Marauders!This week we'll be 'Walking & Talking' on a point-to-point walk between Pontypridd and Taffs Well and taking in plenty of local history and points of interest along the way down the Taff Trail.
We'll be starting off at Pontypridd Common and picking up the route of the old Glamorgan Canal, walking past the famous Round Houses and through the villages of Glyntaff, Rhydyfelin, Upper Boat and Nantgarw. We'll drop by the Nantgarw China Works as we pass before reaching Taffs Well by around 1:30pm.
The return route to Pontypridd will be by train (they leave every 10 minutes & single tickets are £3.80) and so plan to be back at Pontypridd train station by 2pm. It's a short walk back through Ynysanghard Park to the Common/start point.
This is a 7-mile relatively flat walk along mainly tarmac paths and is graded a Level 6/7 on our Marauders walk scale.
The arrangements -
9:00am onwards - Meet at the famous Rocking Stones, Pontypridd Common (close to postcode CF37 4AL). We will leave promptly at 9:30am.

There is plenty of on-street, free parking along Hospital Road.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing, carry plenty of fluids and a snack if you want one.
