🏡 9 am – 1 pm: Community Garage Sale
Host a garage sale or front yard activity, for example:
Coffee/Tea | Games | Bake Sale | Lemonade | Live Music/Storytelling/Theatre | Repair Café | Plants/Seeds | Bike Repair | Home Biz/Youth Entrepreneurs | Nature Walk | EV/Solar/Heat Pump Demos | Tarot | Children’s Games | Artisans/Makers | Tabling for charity/not-for-profit
📍 Be on the Map: Sign-up to be included on our interactive Google Map. The map will be shared here a few days before the event so neighbours can plan their treasure-hunting adventure.
💡 Tip: In a large, car-dependent neighbourhood, proximity matters. Chat with neighbours—make your street a lively walkable & bikeable hub of activities!
🌿 Community, Climate & Conversation (RSVP required)
🕑 2 – 5 PM
Facilitated by your neighbours, this is a thoughtful, hopeful, and solution-focused workshop called Climate Fresk. Join us and together, we will:
• Explore how our everyday actions ripple through ecosystems & neighbourhoods
• Discover practical ways to reduce harm for future generations
• Leave with clarity about actions that feel authentic to you
🍲 Community Potluck
🕔 5 – 7 PM
We’ll share stories, celebrate a great day, and enjoy good food & great company with neighbours — old and new.
Bring: A dish and drinks to share
🕔 5:00 PM — Setup
• Bring a label with the name of your dish + ingredients
• Salads, appetizers, desserts & beverages → Rink Room
• Hot food → Kitchen
• We plan to eat outside under the pavilion (weather backup: community centre)
🕠 5:30 PM — Toast, then bon appétit, everyone!
🧹 7:00 PM — Cleanup
This event is made by neighbours, for neighbours — no vendors, no fees, no paid staff. Let’s all pitch in to tidy up and keep our gatherings fun for everyone.
After cleanup, feel free to stay under the pavilion and enjoy great company and (hopefully!) a beautiful spring evening together 🌷✨
