An in-person meetup for people who actually trade — futures, options, equities. Day or swing.
Retail trading is one of the most isolating jobs there is. San Diego has four trading groups on Meetup with about 2,300 members between them, and not one has met in person in years.
So here's one that does.
I book the table. You're grouped with people who trade roughly the way you trade — everyone's asked what they trade, how they hold, and what kind of traders they want to sit with. I make the introductions at the start so nobody's standing around working out who to talk to. Clear end time.
No presentations, no course, no signals, and nobody is selling anything. That's the one hard rule.
Bring your laptop or tablet if you want — most people end up pulling up a chart to show someone what they mean.
$25 for the seat. You buy your own drink. Free 2-hour parking in the front lot.
