Magic: The Gathering - An Unexpected Crafting Party

We're clearing off the big tables for something that has nothing to do with winning.
An Unexpected Crafting Party is a Wizards Play Network event built around Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit, and there's no deck, no rounds, and no score. Come decorate a deck box, color a Smaug insert and sleeve it in a toploader to take home, work through a Dwarvish language puzzle, and grab some Hobbit stickers and Treasure tokens on your way out.
We're supplying the craft table — paint, brushes, markers, glue, glitter, pom-poms, construction paper. If you've got a favorite set of pens at home, bring them.
The first 10 people to register get a reserved crafting kit with a deck box and a toploader. Once those are claimed, register as a Crafter instead and use the shared supplies. Reserved kits are held until 6:15, then they're up for grabs for walk-ins.
This one's genuinely for everybody — all ages, no Magic experience needed, and a good excuse to bring a kid, a partner, or a friend who's never touched a card. If anyone gets curious about how the game actually works, we'll have someone around to teach.
Free to attend. Register online or stop by the shop and we'll sign you up in person. Wednesday, September 2, 6 to 8 pm, at 936 Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp — street parking gets easier after 6.
