Na zijn succesvolle voorstelling Cuentos, komt flamencogitarist Tjebbe Broek weer terug, deze keer met zijn nieuwste project Tablao, in een nieuwe bezetting.
In Tablao nemen Tjebbe Broek, Pablo Martinez & Conchita Boon je mee op muzikale reis naar hun flamenco, hun persoonlijkheid en hun wereld. Flamenco anno 2025 heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een altijd-in-beweging zijnde muziekvorm waarin gitaristen, dansers en zangers op zoek gaan naar hun persoonlijke toevoeging aan de al langer bestaande facetten van de muziek.
Flamenco is deels gebaseerd op bestaande ritmes, teksten, melodieën en deels op eigen creaties en improvisatie. Niets staat ècht vast, maar ook niet alles mag. Wanneer een gitarist,
danseres(es) en zangeres(es) worden samengevoegd tot een "Cuadro Flamenco" (flamencogroep) ontstaat er iets bijzonders...
Tablao is een programma dat je meeneemt op dit avontuur en je kennis laat maken met alle verschillende kanten van het genre. Een climax waarin gitaar, dans en zang alles op alles zetten om je mee te nemen in een bepaalde emotie. Een cooling-down waarbij alleen de gitaar de ruimte vult met klanken en het publiek even kan ademen. De muzikanten onderling gaan op zoek naar de muzikale connectie met elkaar en dagen elkaar uit, niet volledig zeker wetend hoe de afloop zal verlopen: in het moment, op het podium.
Tussen de nummers word je aan de hand van verhalen, vertalingen en anekdotes meegenomen naar de oorsprong van de muziek en zullen de artiesten hun persoonlijke verhalen en ervaringen delen.

After his successful performance Cuentos, flamenco guitarist Tjebbe Broek return with his newest project Tablao, in a new line-up.
In Tablao, Tjebbe Broek, Pablo Martinez and Conchita Boon take you on a musical journey into their flamenco, their personality and their world. Flamenco in 2025 has developed into an ever-moving music form in which guitarists, dancers and singers look for their personal addition to the already set facets of music. Flamenco is partly based on existing rhythms, texts, melodies and partly on own creations and improvisation. Nothing is certain, but not everything is allowed either. When a guitarist, dancer and singer are combined into a ''Cuadro Flamenco'' (flamenco group), something special is about to happen...
Tablao is a program that takes you on this adventure and introduces you to all the different sides of the genre. A climax in which guitar, dance and singing do everything they can to take you into a certain emotion. A cooling-down where only the guitar fills the room with sounds and the audience can take a breath. During the performance, the musicians among themselves look for the musical connection with each other and challenge each other, not completely sure how the outcome will turn out: in the moment, on stage. Between the songs you will be taken to the origin of the music through stories, translations and anecdotes and the artists will share their personal stories and experiences.
