We'll be screening a popular movie: Alishan Forest Railway Journey under the stars while you enjoy delicious Taiwanese street food and snacks. Do you know that the New York Times spotlights Taiwan’s Alishan as one of 52 Places to Go in 2025? Celebrated for its unique experience of “riding vintage trains into lush mountains”, Alishan stands out as a must-visit spot for travelers seeking both natural beauty and cultural heritage.

This film is a collaborative production by Taiwan Public Television and Japan's NHK International. It is the first in the world to present the stunning landscapes of Alishan and the rich century-old cultural heritage of the forest railway in 8K resolution with 22.2 channel audio quality. This documentary is rich and diverse in content, showcasing the unique aspects of Alishan in Taiwan. In addition to employing the latest filming techniques, the team captured breathtaking scenery and unique railway construction methods, such as the figure-eight design, Z-shaped sections, horseshoe curves, and the restoration of century-old steam trains. They also filmed the domestically produced cypress train, the "Fusen," which has yet to be put into operation. Let’s follow the movie to join the Alisan Railway journey!
