CLASS INFORMATION

Some of the many ways to dye plant based and silk based textiles. We will be using various resist, discharge and surface techniques. Students will need to bring their own textiles, and assorted materials throughout. Cost will depend on each student’s fabric choices. Materials for the first day of class are just cotton handkerchiefs or small scarves (organic material or silk) and sandwich size zip loc bags. Students will need handkerchiefs and/or small scarves, silk or cotton or any organic material, throughout the semester. Consider buying bulk. Other materials needed for class will be discussed on the first day of class.
