About this Event

Come join us at Bollescroft Community Centre on Saturday 1st November for a fun and empowering event tailored just for ethnic minority girls!

Who is this for?

Ethnic minority girls who currently attend either primary or secondary school.

What to expect

This is a 2hr workshop themed around representing your cultural heritage. Developed to encourage, empower and build confidence in ethnic minority girls - through creativity.

The girls will spend their time creating their own t-shirts to represent their cultural backgrounds, as well as other hands-on activities, at the end each girl will have the opportunity to strut the catwalk in their new creations.

The session promises to be a fun and empowering time, encouraging girls to feel proud of their heritage by celebrating their family roots in a unique and creative way.

Under 11's MUST BE accompanied by a responsible adult.

2.00pm-4.00pm (prompt arrival advised)

Venue

Bollescroft is located off the Spotlight car park in Hoddesdon. The building is only visible from the car park as a white wall and a roof top. Access is through the gate at the left of the wall and down 6 steps. We regret that the access and some aspects of the building may present difficulties for the disabled.

About us

We are a Christian-run movement that seeks to unify minority groups and families within the local area. By building a caring and supportive community, we hope to enrich the lives of local girls from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Important booking info

Spaces at our free workshops are primarily for girls within the catchments of Turnford, Wormley, Broxbourne, Nazeing and Hoddesdon (EN9, EN10 and EN11 postcodes). If you are outside of these postcodes then you may be placed on a waiting list - depending on local demand.

Please be aware that a responsible adult will be required to stay for the session to assume responsibility for any Under 11's attending.
