T Levels - Business Breakfast: Shaping the next generation

Just in case you’re wondering what all the fuss is about T Levels, let’s get you up to speed:

• T Levels are new qualifications, alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other 16 to 19 courses.
• Equivalent in size to 3 A levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.
• T Level students spend 80% of the course in their learning environment, gaining the skills that employers need.
• The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action...

Here are some ways you, as a business, can participate:

1. Offer Industry Placements: Provide students with hands-on experience by offering an industry placement. This allows students to apply their classroom learning in real-world settings - and it gives your business another pair of hands for at least 45 days.
2. Collaborate on Course Design: Share your expertise to help shape the T Level curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with your industry needs.
3. Mentorship and Support: Mentor students during their placements, offering guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills and confidence.
4. Guest Speaking and Workshops: Participate in guest speaking engagements or workshops to share your knowledge and experience with our students.
