Registration fee is $20 per person
Pre-registartaion is now closed.
Same day registration is also an option, and opens at 8am on race day (shirt only while supplies last)
Race begins at 9am - beginning and ending near the Gatorfest grounds (signs will be posted)

Tim and Karen Greeno Memorial Run/Walk
The Tim and Karen Greeno Run/Walk during the Leon Gatorfest celebration is now in its eleventh year. The purpose of the event is to help raise funds for annual scholarships to Sparta High School seniors. The funds raised will be given at the annual Sparta High Awards Night to seniors who are going on in some form of post high school health care curriculum.
Karen (Wright) Greeno passed away from the effects of breast cancer in December 1998, at age 38. She left her husband, Tim, and three children, Kelsey, Logan, and Ben. Karen had a four-year degree in therapeutic recreation, and at the time of her passing, was the activity director at Rolling Hills in Sparta.
Tim Greeno was involved in a motorcycle accident in June 2013 that sadly took his life. He was the “sign man” in the summer and worked long hours of plowing snow in the winter at the County Shop for many years. He truly enjoyed his life of fishing, hunting, bikes, and especially his grandchildren.
Tim and Karen’s family has sponsored several events in her memory. Their family gave a new digital scoreboard in Karen’s memory during the 2011 Gatorfest and a playhouse in 2014 in memory of Tim that both reside at the Leon Community Center.
It is hoped many will mark their calendars and give their morning to remember Karen and Tim. All proceeds go to Sparta High School seniors for scholarships for furthering their education.
