SZCZECIN DIATOM SUMMER SCHOOL, 8-12 Semptember, Szczecin, PolandInstitute of Marine and Environmental Sciences at University of Szczecin (Poland), invites graduate and PhD students to take part in Szczecin Diatom Summer School, 8-12 September 2025 (Szczecin, Poland).
15 participants will engage with peers and international mentors, including Prof. Patrick J. Kociolek, dr Ana Car, dr Romain Gastineau, Prof. Jakub Witkowski, Dr Karolina Bryłka, Dr Weronika Brzozowska, Cécile Figus, to learn about and discuss new developments in diatom taxonomy, ecology, biogeography, applications, and evolution. The classes will include lectures, practicals and lab sessions, and sampling outdoors.
⏰Deadline for application: 15th August 2025
💵Fee: 100 Euro (Ice-Breaker, lunches and coffee breaks, sampling trip included)
