Join us on Sunday, May 26th ~ Doors at 1:30 p.m. // Starts at 2:00Syncretic Liturgy: A Service of Witness to The River
We are bringing back a congregation to Prophecy Hall for another righteous assembly that employs traditional customs to deviate from convention. As the sun returns, bringing us more and more light, we see more clearly our interconnectedness with all beings and our collective need for light, sustenance, and WATER. Let's spend an hour celebrating and revering the great estuary by which we reside through song, witness, and laughter. Like the mighty Hudson, this service will be brackish: a little smooth, a little salty; and all heart.
With energizing music brought to you by Annalyse & Ryan, Gavin Hecker, Gwen Laster, Damon Banks, Jeremy Schonfeld, Gus Schonfeld, and Semra Ecrin; a reading performed by the illustrious Twinkle Burke; a prophecy and even a sacrifice from powerhouses Joanna Castle Miller and Lisa Pertoso; a surprise ordainment; and a call to inspired action on how you can give back to your river, ensuring its health and life for years to come. You don't want to miss this power hour of earthly love!
Kids' Activity & Participation: We will be holding an earth material-based craft session beforehand in the fellowship hall. Children are welcome to come, create a piece of art, and write or draw an intention for the earth onto their clay. During the liturgy, we will make space for our "river of intentions," inviting our young ones to walk down the aisle with their artwork. Gathering for craft creation begins at 1:30, and the liturgy service begins at 2.
