Rob Haught 2-Day Advanced Shotgun Skills Class - Nov 7-8 2026 Chino Valley, AZ.

Based on our philosophy that 'advanced' skills are just the fundamentals done well and in the correct context, this course builds upon our Shotgun Skills class and teaches how to apply those fundamentals at speed and under stress. Covered topics include movement, use of cover, load selection, reloading methodologies, shooting at both close and extended ranges, muzzle discipline with nonthreats, with escalating accountability for time and accuracy constraints.

Because this is an advanced class, we are limiting enrollment to students with prior experience with Push-Pull recoil management, short-stock shooting, and shooting on the move. Successful completion of our basic Shotgun Skills class, or an equivalent from an instructor who properly covers these topics, is required. Please contact us for approval before signing up.

Range Fee: $20 (paid on-site)

Equipment requirements:

• Reliable duty-type shotgun (pump or semi-auto)

• Ability to carry at least 25 rounds to the line (Belt carriers, chest rig, shell belt, dump pouch, etc.)

• Eye and ear protection

• Shooting gloves

• Clothing suitable for range work (knee pads are useful for this class)

• Snacks and water, and your own lunch

• Weapons lubricant and cleaning supplies

• 300 rds. birdshot (lead only, no steel shot)

• 150 rds. buckshot (at least 50rds should be tight-patterning buckshot such as Federal FliteControl or Hornady Versatite/TAP)

• 50 rds. slug

Please note: The Chino Valley Police Department has a new policy that prohibits bringing a Sig 320 (or any of its variants) onto department facilities/property. While we do not use pistols in this class, I have been informed that the prohibition applies to carry guns as well, so if you have a 320, please leave it at home. Thanks!

We also highly recommend having an individual trauma first aid kit and the training to use it!
