Spooky vibes abound for EMSO’s fall concert. The performance will begin with Modest Mussorgsky’s chaotic and ominous classic Night on Bald Mountain; and Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, one of Edvard Grieg’s surreal pieces based on the Henrik Ibsen 1867 play. The featured performance of Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, the dark and dreamy five-movement symphony about a composer’s obsession with a beautiful actress and terrifying visions will complete the concert.Admission to this concert is free. Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.
Symphonie Fantastique is the first of four concerts in EMSO’s 2025-2026 concert season. For more information, visit EMSO’s website at www.emsorch.org.
